Organized by social enterprise 'Foodsport', sponsored by SUNLIGHT REIT and venue sponsored by MCP One, the SUNLIGHT REIT Mashimaro Foodie Run 2026 will be held at Tseung Kwan O Waterfront on Sunday, 22 November 2026, and will officially open for public enrollment from 12:00 noon, 21 August 2026. This year's event continues to echo the spirit of anti-hunger, gathering every drop of sweat from the participants to alleviate social poverty and hunger issues.

As a unique annual sports event in Hong Kong that integrates running, gourmet and charity, the SUNLIGHT REIT Mashimaro Foodie Run allows participants to not only enjoy the fun of exercising, but also create substantial changes in the community! This year, the super adorable 'Mashimaro' from Taiwan is specially invited to be the event ambassador. With its chubby and round appearance, plus cute and eye-catching 'foodie' expressions, Mashimaro will definitely melt everyone's heart! During the event, Mashimaro will cheer for the runners and call on citizens to run for food and advocate a healthy lifestyle. Runners will once again be able to step on the magnificent Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge, and for the first time, a '1km Pet-friendly Run' is added to invite all citizens to join this charitable festival that combines 'running + eating + donation', using their footsteps to raise food for the beneficiaries, bringing warmth and fullness to those in need and stray animals!

 Vibrant Cross Bay Bridge with Sea and Sky View New Pet-friendly Category to Care for Local Communities

The carefully designed race course of the 'Foodie Run' has always been well received by runners. This year, runners participating in the 10km and 4km categories will once again be able to run on the spectacular Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge and enjoy the breathtaking sea and sky view. The event features multiple distances, including 10km, 4km and 1km, and for the first time, a 1km pet-friendly category is added to encourage owners to bring their beloved pets to join the race, burning calories and contributing to charity. Whether you are an elite runner pursuing personal achievements, a family enjoying a cozy run, a pet lover, or a master of disguise showcasing unlimited creativity, you will find a suitable category and fully enjoy this annual running party.

Even more meaningful is that all the calories burned by the participants during the event will be converted into actual food donations, and the expected calorie donation target for this event is 640,000 calories. The donations will support charity partners 'Home for Homeless Animals' and 'Feeding Hong Kong' to provide assistance to underprivileged families and stray animals. After deducting operation costs and food donations, the remaining proceeds from the event (including entry fees) will be donated in full to the 'Foodsport Foundation' to support the 'Food Assistance Program' and the 'Community Sports Development Program', promoting long-term improvement of poverty and hunger and benefiting more communities.
